                        How the Blended Rate Structure Works

                        Our High-Yield Money Market Account uses a blended-rate structure, which means your balance earns different rates at different levels. As your balance grows, each portion earns a higher rate—so you get rewarded more without losing out on the lower-tier earnings.

                        Each portion of your balance earns the rate assigned to that tier. Your blended APY is a weighted average based on how much you have in each tier.

                        This approach helps maximize your earnings as your balance grows.

                        EXAMPLE:  If you deposit $150,000

                        • First $49,999 earns 1.49%
                        • Next $50,000 (from $50,000 to $99,999) earns 1.98%
                        • Remaining $50,001 (from $100,000 to $150,000) earns 2.47%

                        $250,000 and greater 2.96% 3.00% Only the portion above $250,000

                        *APY = Annual Percentage Yield. APY is a percentage rate that reflects the total amount of interest paid on an account based on the interest rate and frequency of compounding over a year. For this account, the interest rate and APY may change at any time as determined by the Credit Union. The stated APY is a blended rate based on the portion of the balance within each tier. Actual APY may vary depending on the total balance in the account. If the $2,500 minimum daily balance is not met, you may not earn the stated APY.  We use the daily balance method to calculate interest, applying a daily periodic rate to the principal in the account each day. Rates and offers are current as of September 14, 2023, and are subject to change without notice. $2,500 minimum to open. Membership eligibility is required. All deposits are federally insured by NCUA up to $250,000 per depositor.
