In 2006, WEOKIE formed the WEOKIE Foundation. A 501 (c) (3) public charity, The Foundation provides a formal avenue of charitable giving for WEOKIE Credit Union and offers financial education and scholarship opportunities to Oklahoma City and the surrounding communities. The Foundation is governed by an appointed volunteer Board of Directors, which oversees all of The Foundation and its operations.

Money Talks Financial Education

The WEOKIE Credit Union Foundation has developed a no-cost Money Talks Financial Education program designed to teach youth how to manage their money wisely. The financial literacy program focuses on classroom lessons, presentations and seminars in grades 2-12 to help students understand financial responsibilities and encourage them to make smart decisions as they become more financially accountable.

Contact our Education Department at education@weokie.org for more information or to schedule a classroom session.

Golf Tournament

The Foundation golf tournament raises money for scholarships for graduating high school seniors and to promote financial literacy in the Oklahoma City metro area. In addition, The Foundation also donates to numerous local and national charities.
