Written by WEOKIE Federal Credit Union | Apr 21, 2023

When a natural disaster occurs, such as hail, you can count on WEOKIE to help guide you through the process. If you have a WEOKIE Auto Loan and your vehicle has been affected by hail damage, here is what you need to know:

I have a WEOKIE Auto Loan, and my vehicle has been affected by a natural disaster; what is my first step?
  • Your first step is to contact your insurance company to report the incident and start your claim process.
My vehicle has been declared a total loss; what do I need to do?
  • Your insurance company will communicate with WEOKIE by providing a letter of guarantee:
    • Via email to LoanSupport@WEOKIE.org
    • Via fax to (405) 603-1081, attention WEOKIE Total Loss.
    • Or Text  (405) 546-1795 for a secure link to upload documents
My insurance company sent over the letter of guarantee; what are the next steps?
  • We will review the letter of guarantee and then communicate back to your insurance company. Upon receipt of the insurance settlement check, we will apply it to your loan.
How long does it take to process the letter of guarantee?
  • Once WEOKIE receives the letter of guarantee from your insurance company, we will process and return it to your insurance company as soon as possible. We understand the urgency to complete the claim; being responsive to you is our top priority.
How do I make a claim if I have Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP) insurance or a warranty on my vehicle?
  • If you purchased GAP or a warranty from WEOKIE, we would automatically file the claim(s) for you after the insurance settlement check is applied to your loan. You may also file a claim by contacting us at 405-235-3030 or stopping by your local branch.
  • If GAP or a warranty was purchased from a dealer, please contact the product provider(s) to start the claim process.
What's my payoff?
  • Vehicle loan payoffs can be obtained by calling 405-235-3030 or visiting any WEOKIE location. You may also locate the payoff amount in Online Banking or Mobile Banking under Account Details.
Can I keep my insurance check and not fix the damage to my vehicle? Or, only fix some of the damage and keep the difference?
  • The repair check can either be applied to the balance of the auto loan (the loan payment will not be reduced) or funds can be released to a licensed repair facility. If the cost of repairs is less than the insurance check, the remainder must be applied to the balance of the auto loan.
How will I know when my insurance check has been applied to my loan balance?
  • The easiest way to check on all your WEOKIE accounts is to log in to Online or Mobile Banking. Select the loan ID and review the loan history. Not currently using online banking? Sign up online today!
