Our cooperative is under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors who are elected to three year terms.
Warren Pybas retired from the position of Senior Director of Human Resources at Hertz after 31 years of service. Prior to joining Hertz, he was employed at Dayton Tire for over five years as Supervisor of Factory Employment in the Personnel Department. In 1980, Warren worked to incorporate WEOKIE as the credit union service provider for OKC Hertz employees. He also worked with various WEOKIE management personnel during the acquisition of the Dayton Tire Credit Union and served as volunteer manager for the Dayton Tire Credit Union. Warren served in various volunteer positions with WEOKIE (including almost five years as Associate Director) before his election to the Board. Warren has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University. Warren has previously provided volunteer service to several community organizations, including: The Salvation Army, Boys & Girls Club of Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma City Metro United Way, and the Oklahoma City Contact Crisis Helpline.
Gary Tarkington retired from Lucent Technologies as a Supply Chain Manager with over 33 years of service. Gary has been a member of WEOKIE Credit Union for more than 30 years and has served on both the Credit Committee and Supervisory Committee during that time. Gary is currently the Vice-President of Region Chapter 136 of the New Outlook Pioneers, and is Past President of the Oklahoma Council of the New Outlook Pioneers. He is Treasurer of his homeowner’s association and also attends Oakcrest Church of Christ where he is a small group leader. Gary attended the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with a degree in Accounting. He also has been certified by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).
Leonard Wells retired from Celestica after working in the accounting and auditing departments of both A T & T and Lucent since 1969. Leonard currently serves as a WEOKIE Board Member and has also served on WEOKIE's Supervisory Committee and on WEOKIE's Credit Committee from 1978-1985. Leonard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma. In 2017, he began his second five year term on the Board of Education for Yukon Public Schools. Leonard has served as past treasurer for the First United Methodist Church of Yukon and is currently an active member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.
Tony Carl has served on WEOKIE's Supervisory Committee since 2010 and has also served as an Associate Director prior to being elected to WEOKIE's Board of Directors. Tony is currently employed as the Human Resources Business Partner for the Hertz Corporation where he has held roles of increasing responsibility over his 26 year career. Tony holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters of Business Administration degree. Tony attends Bethel Baptist Church in Norman and also serves on the Recreation Committee. Tony enjoys family, sports and being with friends.
Craig Eidson is a lifetime Oklahoma resident, born in Norman, Oklahoma and a graduate of Moore High School where he met his wife Michelle. He earned his degree in Biblical Studies & Management from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri in 1988. Craig is the Lead Pastor of Freedom Church in Piedmont, Oklahoma, a church he and his wife founded in 1999. Previously he served as High School & College Student Pastor in Weatherford, Oklahoma for nine years, and has worked for a variety of other companies including United Parcel Service and Express Employment Professionals. Before serving as a Director, Craig served on the WEOKIE Supervisory Committee and as an Associate Director. He also serves his community as a fire chaplain for the Piedmont fire department and as a commissioner for Planning and Zoning. He enjoys volunteering with non-profits and has traveled to more than 25 countries to render food, aid, and encouragement to people in need.
Lee Liles serves as a WEOKIE Board Member and has also served on the credit union’s Supervisory Committee.
Lee attended Oklahoma State University where he studied electrical engineering technology. He worked for several companies including Western Electric and General Electric, and ended his career at Diebold, where he retired after being employed for 43 years. At Diebold, Lee was promoted to an area manager role, where he was responsible for delivering customer service throughout a nine state area with over 1,200 employees. During his last 15 years at Diebold, Lee worked as a sales account manager where he sold equipment to the larger financial accounts in Oklahoma and surrounding areas, including WEOKIE. It was during this time that Lee discovered that credit unions were focused on taking care of their members and that this attitude closely matched his desire to serve people.
Lee is a native Oklahoman and enjoys his family, volunteering at a local church food warehouse, exploring nature, and building things.
Dennis March retired from the United States Air Force with 21 years active duty service as a Security Forces Police Officer. Currently, he is employed at Tinker Air Force Base as a Department of Defense employee as a Security Manager. Dennis has been a member of WEOKIE Credit Union for over ten years and served on the Supervisory Committee prior to his appointment as an Associate Director and election as a Director. He has a Bachelor's degree from Southern Nazarene University in Organizational Leadership and an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from the Community College of the Air Force. Dennis has been a Deacon at Town and Country Christian Church in Yukon for eight years.
