What is Samsung Pay?

Samsung Pay® is a safe and simple way to make mobile payments with eligible Samsung Galaxy devices (see list of current supported devices below). From the coffee shop, to the deli, to your favorite department stores, Samsung Pay is the only mobile payment service that works at the almost any retailer where you can swipe or tap your card.

How does Samsung Pay work?

Samsung Pay uses proprietary technology that works with both Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) and Near-Field Communication (NFC) to make contactless mobile payments. MST and NFC enable you to make secure transactions at virtually every card reader where you can swipe or tap your card.

Which devices will support Samsung Pay?

Samsung Pay is supported by Galaxy S7 edge®, Galaxy S7®, Galaxy S7 active®, Galaxy S6 edge+®, Galaxy S6 edge®, Galaxy S6®, Galaxy S6 active®, Galaxy Note®5, and Galaxy Note®7.

How do I set up Samsung Pay?

If it’s not already pre-loaded on your device, simply go to the Home screen and select Apps, then Samsung Pay, and then Install.

How do I pay with Samsung Pay?

  • Swipe from the bottom of the screen to the top to access Samsung Pay.
  • If necessary, swipe to the left or right to access the desired card.
  • Place your finger on the Home key to verify your identity. If you are using Samsung Pay PIN, touch PIN and enter your four-digit code.
  • Place the back of your device against the NFC or card reader on the payment terminal.                             

Which WEOKIE cards can I use with Samsung Pay?

You can use both your WEOKIE credit and debit cards with Samsung Pay. Cards can be easily added to Samsung Pay by using your device's camera to scan in your card's information or by manually inputting the card information yourself.

When I add my WEOKIE card to Samsung Pay, it doesn't look exactly like the card in my wallet. Why?

Samsung Pay uses a graphical representation, not an exact replica of your WEOKIE card.

Which merchants are participating?

Samsung Pay works at almost any retailer where you can swipe or tap your card.

Is Samsung Pay free?

Yes. Be aware that message and data rates may apply, depending on your data plan.

How are my privacy and personal information protected?

Since Samsung Pay doesn't send your actual credit or debit card number with your payment, your card details stay safe.

What should I do if my device is lost/stolen?

Your payment information is not accessible without your fingerprint or Samsung Pay PIN. For added security, the Samsung Find My Mobile service can remotely lock or erase your payment cards in Samsung Pay. Alternatively, you can choose to erase your entire device and/or removable storage. When you lock Samsung Pay using Find My Mobile, all payments will be disabled on the device.

Am I able to opt out of Samsung Pay at any time?

Adding your credit or debit cards to Samsung Pay is your choice; you can add and remove cards when needed.
