Warren Pybas
Chairman


Warren Pybas retired from the position of Senior Director of Human Resources at Hertz after 32 years of service. Prior to joining Hertz, he was employed at Dayton Tire for over 5 years as Supervisor of Factory Employment in the Personnel Department. In 1980, Warren worked to incorporate WEOKIE as the credit union service provider for OKC Hertz employees. He also worked with various WEOKIE management personnel during the acquisition of the Dayton Tire Credit Union and served as volunteer manager for the Dayton Tire Credit Union. Warren has served in various volunteer positions with WEOKIE (including almost 5 years as Associate Director) before his election to the Board. Warren has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University. Warren has previously provided volunteer service to several community organizations, including: The Salvation Army, Boys And Girls Club of Oklahoma City, and the Oklahoma City Metro United Way. He currently serves on the Advisory Council for Oklahoma City Contact Crisis Helpline.

Wanda Beaman
Vice Chairman


Wanda Beaman retired from Seagate Technologies with 30 years of service. Wanda worked in Manufacturing, Facilities Engineering, and Master Scheduling during her tenure with Seagate. Wanda served on WEOKIE's Supervisory Committee for 17 years. Wanda graduated from Dover High School. She attended El Reno Junior College, and South Oklahoma City Junior College. Wanda currently remains an active community leader. She served as Co-Chairman of the toy department for the Christmas Connection. She has volunteered for Court Appointed Special Advocate in Canadian County and Special Olympics. She has served on numerous boards for Town and Country Christian Church.

Frank Cory
Secretary/Treasurer

Frank Cory retired from AT&T as a Supervisor in Technical Services after 35 years of service. He is a retired Lieutenant Colonel, US Army Reserve. Frank began his service on the WEOKIE Board in 1977. During his service on the Board, he has served as Board Chairman and Secretary/Treasurer. Frank has also served on many Board committees and continues to serve on the Oklahoma Credit Union Political Action Committee as a Trustee. He was named Political Activist of the Year in 1999 and was awarded the Distinguished Service Award as Volunteer of the Year 2001-2002, and was awarded the prestigious Troy Higgins Political Activist of the Year Award in 2009 from the Oklahoma Credit Union League. Frank served three years as an elected officer on the Boomer Sooner Chapter for Oklahoma Credit Unions 2000-2002.

Frank is graduate of the Command and General Staff College, the Army Aviation Fixed-Wing and Rotary-Wing School and also a graduate of Officer Candidate School. He received his Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University in Trades and Industrial Education. Frank serves as Past President of Chapter 136, NewOutlook Group, of the Telecom Pioneers (formally Telephone Pioneers of America). Frank has served in numerous positions in Pioneering including, Oklahoma Council President, Life Member Representative, and President of the Thunderbird Club. Frank is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the Oklahoma County Senior Nutrition Program Development Foundation.

Bill Manger
Board Member

Bill Manger retired from Lucent after 29 years as Affirmative Action Manager. He is currently a Municipal Court Judge for the City of Oklahoma City. Bill has been a member of WEOKIE's Board of Directors since 1981. Bill holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University. He received his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 1976. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Oklahoma County Bar Association.

Jack McCurdy
Board Member

Jack McCurdy retired from Lucent after working for more than 30 years as Engineering Manager. Jack is a charter member of WEOKIE's Board of Directors. He has served on the Board since 1969. Jack holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma City University. Jack has also volunteered as a member of Oklahoma State Credit Union Board. Credit Union Executives Society awarded Jack DEF Director of the year for 1997 and in 2009, inducted Jack into the CUES Director Hall of Fame.

Gary Tarkington
Board Member

Gary Tarkington retired from Lucent Technologies as a Supply Chain Manager with over 33 years of service. Gary has been a member of WEOKIE Credit Union for more than 30 years and has served on both the Credit Committee and Supervisory Committee during that time. Gary is currently the Vice-President of Region Chapter 136 of the New Outlook Pioneers, and is Past President of the Oklahoma Council of the New Outlook Pioneers. He is Treasurer of his homeowner’s association and also attends Oakcrest Church of Christ where he is a small group leader. Gary attended the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with a degree in Accounting. He also has been certified by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).

Ron Wynne

Board Member

Ron Wynne has been President and CEO of Wynne Engineering Corporation since 1980. He worked as a Senior Engineer at Western Electric for 12 years prior to founding Wynne Engineering. Ron has been a WEOKIE Credit Union member since 1970. Prior to his election to the WEOKIE Board of Directors, he served as Supervisory Committee Chairman and as an Associate Member of the Board. Ron has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Ron is a Lucent Pioneers Life Member and a Registered Professional Engineer in Oklahoma and Texas.

 

Leonard Wells
Associate Board Member

Leonard Wells retired from Celestica after working in the accounting and auditing departments of both A T & T and Lucent since 1969. Leonard has served on WEOKIE's Supervisory Committee since 1985 and has also served on WEOKIE's Credit Committee from 1978-1985. Leonard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma. Leonard has served as past treasurer for the First United Methodist Church of Yukon and is currently an active member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.
